Greeting, Xarhians! I'm popping in to let you know about a local get-together. Next Saturday, June 24th, I'll be at Stout's pub in Falcon Heights. Stout's is on the corner of Larpenteur and Snelling. I'll be there between 11am and 1pm. There's a fairly tight window of time for me to work with lately, so this is all I can muster. I'll have paperback copies of The Consortium Chain omnibus as well as hardbound copies. The hardbounds will be sold for $30 a piece and the paperbacks $20. I have a limited supply so if you're coming for a book, instead of just coming to hang out and chat, get there early. I'll also be signing any copies you bring, and I'll sign any purchased book as well. I don't have any particular plan for this meeting, as far as the amount of seats we'll need or tables or anything of that nature, so we'll just wing it, see who shows, and go from there.
As far as the writing front is concerned, I have plenty of work to do with all of the projects I've been working on for the past year or so. Jaliun is coming into shape and I'm beyond excited to get that out into hands. It looks as though that one will be somewhere around the New Year, if not after. My guess is it will be closer to the first part of 2018. This year, 2017, has been the year of the omnibus so I'm not pushing anything with all other projects. Having two distinct versions of the trilogy is enough for me for the year. The writing and editing will need time for both Jaliun and Shores of Ornateam, but they are coming along nicely.
I hope to see you at Stout's! Food, drinks, and all a pub can offer will be the name of the game, with some science fantasy books thrown in for flavor.
Until next time, Xarhians! As always, happy reading!

Greetings again, all! I'm stopping in to mention the Consortium Chain is now available in paperback. It has a distinctly different cover for the paperback version so if you're interested in the hardback or ebook formats, you'll see an entirely different exterior and interior of the paperback CC omnibus. Quite the cool thing for me to have two different versions of this trilogy's omnibus.
BHC Press has done outstanding work with this. They're wonderful to work with and produce quality every time. This paperback really gives the darkened feeling of the swamps of Banthyk, while still having a sense of optimism and strength with the raised Apeatharis. I really love this imagery.
So, if you're glancing around the internet and want to check out more, hop over to http://www.bhcpress.com/Books_Martin_Consortium_Chain.html and give 'er a look-see.
Until next time, Xarhians! Happy reading and safe travels!

Greetings, all! I'm excited to announce that the Consortium Chain hardcover is almost here! It is mere days away. Soon you will be able to experience the world of Xarh in an all new format. This omnibus will contain added material that is not available in the paperbacks. It will be available in ebook and hardcover formats, so there will be options available.
It's going to be a busy few weeks for yours truly. There's a lot going on around here. The writing is keeping me busy as always, and Jaliun will be up next. I can't give a definitive timeframe on that release, but I can mention that it is next in line. After Jaliun comes Shores of Ornateam. Shores is a compilation of short stories within the world of Xarh. There's so much I'd love to share with you about all of this, but I need to keep my lips sealed and enjoy the moment. So! Here we go. The Consortium Chain is getting an overhaul courtesy of the talents of BHC Press. I hope you enjoy it.
Until next time, friends, happy reading!

Hello again, everyone! I'm back to throw a post up on the ol' bazaar, for the time to introduce the release of information regarding the Consortium Chain omnibus is fast approaching.
It sounds like the Chain hardcover has an ISBN and the cover art is coming soon. We're getting closer, so very close. It will be wonderful to have this entire trilogy in a single volume. There will be a few additions to this work, as well as a few edits, but it is more-or-less the trilogy as it stood within the three separate works. If you haven't delved into the world of Xarh previously, I highly recommend giving this hardcover a go. It will be your one-stop shop for all Xarhian information for the coming years. All you will need to get your mind soaked in Xarhian goodness will be contained within its cover. And if you are among those who have read my previous three volumes independently, you will enjoy the slight changes and the overall feel of this new offering. My good friends at Blue Harvest Creative are known for their quality of work, so I can only imagine how this will appear in the final product.
It will be the definitive Consortium Chain piece.
And now on to the next chapter. Jaliun is nearly finished. I've been tinkering with this work for some time now, and I think I just need to wrap it up and call it a tale. This is one that has been a pure labor of love, and I'm really excited about the potential for it. It may really catch you, or it may not be your cup of tea, but, either way, it will be an interesting piece within the Xarhian universe. And the Shores of Ornateam short story compilation will follow it. Shores has much more of a Consortium Chain feel, for all who want to get back into the vibe of yesteryear.
The trilogy I'm building after Shores will be a thing of mystery for some time, but that is also coming along. Lots and lots of work to be done there.
Well, there you have it: the state of the Xarhian union. Until next time, all! Enjoy your reading.

Hello again, all! I'm back to bring some wonderful news. I've been accepted into the Blue Harvest Creative family. I am now officially a BHC author. I've been a client of theirs for a handful of years now, and the experience I've had with them has been smooth, professional, and about as good as I could have possibly imagined. They are a premium entity that has been growing for years with no sign of letting up. This is going to be a splendid partnership, I assure you. The years to come will be filled with Xarhian offerings through BHC, and it will start with the release of the Consortium Chain hardback omnibus.
In other news, the work on Jaliun is ramping up with the advent of the approaching fall season. I have a bit more flexibility in my day-to-day operations, so most of that leeway will be used for writing. It's a great feeling to know that the writing and editing seasons are fast approaching while this new partnership with BHC is finalized.
If you're new to the world of Xarh, or just curious about what all of this means, go ahead and give Of War and Consequence a read. If you like what you see, feel, and have wandered into, there's an ever-evolving world that awaits you. The adventure is just beginning. There will be stand-alone works coming, new tied-together books, collections of short stories, and a brand new trilogy that will be seperate from the events of all that has come before. Though I've been at this for years, rest assured, the world of Xarh is in its infancy in terms of releases and information. There are outlines upon outlines and many books to write. There will be no shortage of new material on the way.
As always, enjoy yourselves and happy reading! There will be more to announce before long. I'll see you soon!

Back again to give a quick update. The work on Jaliun continues. I've made a number of revisions to this tale, and I like where it's going. There seems to always be a wrinkle I'd like to twist, here and there, with this work for some odd reason. I suspect it has something to do with the nature of the book. Writing what is essentially a crime novel within a science fantasy world I've created is an odd process. It's enjoyable and challenging, unique for me, and something I really want to nail down to the best of my ability. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to this one being in the hands of readers. It may be some time yet, as the Chain hardback is probably all I'm looking at for a release this year, but it'll be worth it when it comes; I assure you.
As far as my other works, Shores of Ornateam is accumulating the occasional edit and new poem/short, but that's a particularly slow process with all I have going on right now. And the Canon Xarhcanum is along for the ride. All of these will be of varying lengths and have different aspects of the world of Xarh associated. Some will be light and some heavy. Some will be informative, as it pertains to the history and culture of Xarh, and some will be purely excerpts from people, places, and times that you would have read about in my previous work. It will all combine to add layers to Xarh and smooth the overall world. It's a never-ending process, this world of Xarh, and that's exactly what it's intended to be. There's always something to add, some piece of the puzzle to find, and some new experience to be had on the four continents.
I'll check back with you soon. There are a few things that will be popping up shortly. Some of which are certainly newsworthy. Until next time, Xarhians.
As always, happy reading!

Back again to mention the latest developments. I'm happy to report the Consortium Chain omnibus project is finished on my end, and will now move on to the production phase. Lots of art, formatting, and other bridges to cross yet, but the heavy lift is over for me. This omnibus is the entire trilogy reformatted, edited, and has additional content added. It's designed as the definitive version of the trilogy, and will only be available in hardback. It won't add more to the tale than what the standard paperback and Kindle versions have already allowed, simply a bit of detail here and there. I've also retracted some of what I initially was planning, as to keep it as close to the trilogy within the three separate books as possible. One thing is certain, with the team of folks I have working on this, it will be well worth having for anyone who wants to collect all of the Xarhian related material available. It will be a monster of a book. I won't be able to release some of the details just yet because I'm not sure how it will all work out, or if some of it is even feasible.
Now it's on to Jaliun and the many notecards I have stashed all over my desk. There are a few rough versions of the Jaliun outline already, but I think I'm getting narrowed down to exactly the right storyline. The original outline was already around 40k, so I'll have plenty of carrot in front of this horse.
As always, enjoy your reading and I'll see you soon!
